The Secretary of State to the Minister of the Interior went to Dijon on Tuesday June 16 with further reinforcement from the police on the spot. During his visit, Laurent Nunez announced that about fifty officials are expected on the spot. Last Monday, a hundred police and gendarmes arrived in the Grésilles district to lend a hand to local teams.

These are therefore two units of the mobile forces which are present in Dijon, units made up of 60 gendarmes, around forty CRS and members of the anti-crime and Raid brigade. In all, around 150 men and women come to reinforce the Dijon police force.

The authorities' objective is to secure the area by making arrests and firmly punishing those responsible for disturbing public order. Monday evening, 4 people were arrested and an investigation is underway. After Laurent Nunez, the president of the National Rally Marine Le Pen also went to Dijon on Tuesday June 16 in the afternoon.

As a reminder, dozens of young Chechens have been conducting punitive expeditions since last Friday against dealers in the Grésilles district. The latter allegedly beat up a 16-year-old Chechen.
