On May 28, SVT Nyheter Västerbotten told about the situation of the staff at Grubbe home service in Umeå, which shares premises with several other operations at Hartvigsgården. The staff lacks changing rooms and clothing storage and the safety representative has chosen to report Umeå municipality to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

During Monday's municipal council meeting, Rebecca Sellstedt (V) asked questions about the situation and Janet Ågren (S) responded by presenting measures taken at a number of the municipality's 16 home service premises. When it comes to the room at Grubbe, she describes it like this:

- Real estate is working on developing a specific solution but also that it will happen in the near future.

It's been a while since we (SVT News Västerbotten) told us about the situation at Grubbe. Given the prevailing pandemic and the vulnerable role facing home care staff, don't you think it should have gone faster?

-It is essential to keep a high speed on these issues. Then there are many home service premises within the municipality of Umeå and from that perspective it is important to look at a comprehensive solution, says Janet Ågren.

In the clip above you hear Janet Ågren and what Rebecca Sellstedt thinks about the municipality's message.
