  According to reports, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department named the fire "Drum". At about 12:50 pm on the 14th, the fire started at 7369 on Highway 246 West. Then the fire spread quickly and the fire authorities put in fire trucks and helicopters to put out the fire. As of 5 pm, the fire spread about 600 acres, and only about 10% were controlled.
