The NHL club Buffalo Sabers announced that it has signed a three-year income agreement with Ilves Oskari Laaksonen.
Laaksonen, 20, is Buffalo’s third-round booking for summer 2017.
Laaksonen, who won the youth world championship in January 2019, has played in the Ilves league team in recent years a total of 113 regular season matches at 5 + 35 = 40.
Buffalo is a close club to Ilves' men, as Arttu Ruotsalainen, who has represented the Tampere team in recent years, also has an agreement with Sabers. The Swede played last season on loan at Ilves.
Among the Finns, the Buffalo organization also includes NHL defenders Rasmus Ristolainen and Henri Jokiharju, as well as the goalkeeper promise, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who won the World Cup gold with Laaksonen.
Buffalo’s NHL season is already over, but there is no information on the start of the next one. The beginning of next season can stretch even to December-January.
