Today I want to express to you that my feelings have not changed. I am a mother depressed by pain and despair, because to this day Marta, my young and precious daughter, is still missing; Sad but real. Despite this, I have gained a minimum of strength to write these words as you have asked me many times. Here they are: pain, rage, anger, sadness, helplessness, despair, pain, pain, and more pain ... This is how I feel. And with the frustration of not being able to do more than I do, although my strength, no one doubts, I am reserving myself to continue fighting and with more strength every day for Justice to be done to my daughter.

Marta disappears on November 7, 2019. She went out with total confidence to spend a few days with a person she had known, without fear, with freedom, meeting my daughter, hoping to have a good time, and continue with her life. But no, it was not. That individual took the liberty of deciding that Marta had lived long enough. And now? His right not to testify is what leads us to the fact that today Marta is not with us.

Well, it won't be the work of the Police. It is being impeccable. I want to thank and I must thank each of the State's security forces and bodies that are intervening in Marta's tireless and unstoppable search: the Civil Guard, National Police, UCO, UME ... well, I hope you don't forget me. mention anyone. Well, to each and every one of them infinitely thank you for your faultless work, for your generosity, your dedication and your struggle to return Marta to me. Also to you, the press, thank you. I also want to recognize your work, and the respect that you have shown when asked.

But it is not all thanks, behind this there is a girl with a cut life, a broken mother, a family sunk by pain, a brother who will never be able to enjoy her sister again, and laws that do little to help. And it is no longer that they help little, it is that they have us totally unprotected, sold, because to the murderers, rapists, abusers, etc. It is cheap for them in this country to kill, rape, harass, mistreat.

And politicians and judges, did you know that this individual was in Spain with his expired residence permit? Who regulates this? Did they know he was convicted of drug trafficking? Did you know that he was released on bail until his next trial?

Stop to think, if this man had not enjoyed that freedom on bail, or had been deported to his country for not having his papers in order when they expired, today Marta would be with me, with my family, with her friends, with the people that he loved her, and that man would not have caused such irreparable pain, added to that of two other fatalities, and eight others affected who have also wanted to report what they suffered at the hands of this depraved individual. All these cases, thanks to Marta, have been discovered. Thank you, daughter, for your help from wherever you are; Too bad you had to pay with your life.

Luckily, my daughter had a beautiful and intelligent habit, which was to send me the location where she was when she left home, as they already know that she was 25 years old when she disappeared. Now I would have turned 26 and it could not have been like this ... She lived independently, but I, as a mother worried about my two children, and they, knowing how I am, a mother who suffers from everything, like any mother always concerned about well-being and protection of my children, my daughter agreed with me for my peace of mind that whenever she was not in her usual places she would inform me of the location where she was at all times.

Blessed location that took us to where he was in his last hours of life: the house of this individual in the town of Manuel, Valencia, location where I went without hesitation as my daughter, after several hours, did not answer me, something not usual among us.

Gentlemen, I had him face to face, I confronted him and he denied having been with her, he even denied knowing me, to surrender weeks later to the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Carcaixent, confessing that Marta was deceased and that he had disposed of the My daughter's corpse in a brutal way that I am unable to pronounce or write.

Despite this, arrested and imprisoned, he accepted his right not to testify, and Marta still did not appear. Is all this suffering necessary? Are we really going to continue to forgive this class of individuals with derisory convictions in this country? When are the laws going to change? For example, that of the right not to declare. Excuse me? Right not to declare a criminal offender? Without a body, is there no crime? Without a body there is a crime; Of course there is. And our laws should condemn these willful acts that accompany murder with stronger convictions if possible than convictions for the murder itself.

Please, politicians mainly, I do not care the acronyms they represent: empathize with me a little and with the parents who have been through my same situation, and think that we were not talking about my daughter, think for a moment, God forbid , that she was the daughter of any of you, think, think, how would you feel? Surely they would see things from the pain, and they would see how they generated the need to worry more about obsolete laws that do not do justice, and they would stop worrying about other things that can wait, because next to this are miserable nonsense without importance .

Gentlemen, we are talking about the life of a person, and in this case this person is my daughter Marta. Maximum prison with or without a body, obligation to declare and declare the truth or more punishment, and less condescension with these individuals who in the end, think about it, they are more protected in prison than we and our children on the street. Enough, please! Let's do something.

Spain and the Spanish are a country that we deserve more and better. Perhaps you do not feel the same need as I do, for several reasons: one, that you have not suffered the death of a son at the hands of a murderer; and second, because perhaps because of your positions you live surrounded by a protection, you and your families, which the rest of Spanish citizens do not have.

We are totally unprotected, we live with fear added to pain, rage and helplessness, while these criminals are in jails, with food, drinks, gyms, all kinds of comforts, protected, cared for, contributing and with the right to unemployment, being able to study for free. While the rest of the Spanish we make an effort to work, carve a future for ourselves, to be able to pay with difficulty in many cases the studies of our children, and how these could list many more

And as they may be thinking that I am not aware that despite all these advantages that they enjoy without earning them, these criminals are deprived of liberty, tell them and anticipate that yes, I am aware, but that they have sought it and while they they only live with their freedom, my daughter Marta Calvo Burón does not live.

That while these murderers can be visited by their families, I can never say I will see my daughter Marta again. Gentlemen, pain, much pain, laws, I insist, obsolete, little harsh, and that leave the criminal, murderer or rapist to continue doing what they want, because in the end it comes out cheap.

Reintegration? I do believe in the reintegration of a drug addict, a thief, the reintegration of minor crimes, but, a murderer or a rapist? Do you really believe in reintegration? Have we not already seen and suffered enough news, almost daily, of repeat murderers and rapists? How many more women have to be raped or killed in the hands of this type of people, inhuman, without feelings, not to say what I really think of them? Could Marta be the last?

My daughter and no one will return me alive. I fight to have her with me, give her her rest in peace and do her justice as she deserves, but I am going to fight for the laws to change and in your hands, political gentlemen, there is a lot of strength, strength so that this can be achieved. I think and believe, and like most Spaniards, that we deserve it, that these laws can be changed, hardened, and without fear because the good will not affect them, and for the bad, those who violate and kill , the sentence will always be little. They just have to want to do it, stop worrying so much about these things and start dealing with them, because worry does not solve them.

I think that in the face of harsher laws and harsher sentences, these depraved murderers, rapists, criminals, would think a little more, perhaps to the point of not doing it ...
