The statement of the department is published on the website of the Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC).

“We have accepted the opinion of the party’s Central Committee department on united front affairs and the departments that oversee issues with the enemies, regarding the study of the action plan so that the army can again enter the demilitarized inter-Korean agreement zones and take measures to turn the front into a fortress and further strengthen military alertness regarding South, ”the report said.

Earlier it was reported that the DPRK decided to terminate the communication lines with South Korea, saying that Pyongyang has nothing more to discuss with Seoul at the negotiating table. 

In early May, the South Korean agency Ronhap reported that the South Korean border post in the demilitarized zone was fired from by the DPRK.
