Rayshard Brooks was killed on Friday after a confrontation with police. He tried to escape after being torn apart in connection with his arrest during a sobriety check.

Brooks pulled an electric shock weapon from the police as he fled and was then shot from behind with sharp ammunition. He later died at the hospital.

"Can't get my husband back"

- I can't get my husband back. I can't get my best friend back, says Raychard's Brooks wife Tomika Miller at a press conference while holding her daughter in his arm, VG reports.

- We are tired and we are frustrated. Above all, our hearts are crushed with grief. We need justice for Rayshard Brooks, says Rayshard Brooks's cousin, Tiara Brooks, at a press conference, Reuters reports.

The chief of police resigns

Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields resigned after the incident. Police suspected of killing Brooks have been fired and his colleague involved in the incident has been put out of service.

Tomika Miller now demands that the two police officers who carried out the arrest, which then led to Rayshard Brook's death, are jailed. It reports VG.
