Only a few days after an altercation which had already injured the Liserons with a stabbing weapon, this eastern district of Nice was once again the scene of a major police operation on Sunday evening. According to a police source, 45 people belonging to the Chechen community were arrested following a brawl between rival gangs amid drug trafficking.
It was around 10:40 p.m. that the police took over the premises, after the report of several shots. Two Chechens, aged 32 and 35, were found injured, one seriously in the abdomen, the other injured in the legs. A 17-year-old minor was also found more slightly injured, having been beaten on the head.
The hypothesis of a settlement of account
On the spot, the police force thus proceed to 45 arrests. They give rise to five placements in police custody which concern five men who were in a car in possession of edged weapons.

LR Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi went on site this Monday morning. In a tweet, the mayor of Nice said that he had met with the Minister of the Interior and had "asked him to set up a CRS company permanently present in the district".
