• Drugs. A 'narco-truck' to circumvent the scanner of the port of Algeciras
  • Raid: the first underground tobacco factory in Europe dismantled in Malaga

Trucks with complex double bottoms, underground underground factories and decorative objects that, behind gears and hydraulic devices, hide more than a secret. The narcos abandon their usual drug stores and resort to engineering to modernize their 'nurseries' and make it more difficult to locate their caches. A technological step that in recent months has been evident in different investigations carried out in Andalusia and whose latest example is in Malaga , where a hashish and marijuana trafficking network hid the drug in a box made with a port container that was accessed through an ornamental fountain that was raised with a mechanical system.

Three people have been detained by the Civil Guard in an operation that has highlighted that, although the traffickers are constantly innovating so as not to be discovered, the security forces also have their methods to prevail in the particular game of cat and mouse of the drug trafficking.

The investigation, as reported by the Armed Institute, began when a network was detected that could be dedicating itself to drug trafficking between Spain and the rest of Europe using the so-called 'Go fast' system : concealment of the drug in vehicles that are on their way they are 'escorted' to be notified of the presence of controls or any other unforeseen.

The investigations revealed that he had a property with a zulo under the garden that was created with a metal port container, which was accessed through an opening in the garden located under the base of an ornamental fountain. This "was raised by a hydraulically actuated system by inserting a certain electrical plug into a specific socket base." Once underground, a small tunnel had to be traveled to reach the cubicle where the drugs and the money obtained from their sale were hidden.

During the registration of the zulo, 10,800 euros were found hidden in a PVC toilet bowl, in addition to the remains of mechanisms and tools to maintain an 'indoor' marijuana plantation and metal presses for the manufacture of hashish plates. Two vehicles were also intercepted inside which, hidden in different parts of them, 1,090 grams of hashish and 8,736 grams of marijuana were found, as well as 5,400 euros.

The investigation made possible the arrest of AMCA, 28 years old, YOM, 23, FFJD, 31, with Spanish and French nationalities, accused of crimes against public health.

Precedents

Last November, the National Police reported the arrest of 28 alleged members of an organization with ramifications in Cádiz, Málaga and Seville that had a 'narco-truck' with which it intended to circumvent the scanner of the port of Algeciras .

The vehicle had "innovative opening systems on the floor of the truck bed, through a complex technique with remote control and hydraulic arms and the installation of security measures in order to avoid drug detection by a scanner " The cost of the device was around 50,000 euros .

The Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard weeks ago dismantled an illegal tobacco factory located on a farm in Monda (Málaga). In addition to having its workers -Ukrainian immigrants- in terrible conditions, it was the circumstance that the factory was underground. "To make their identification impossible, the criminal organization used heavy machinery that, pushing a large tonnage shipping container, exposed access to these clandestine facilities." Above them were a few blocks of horses .

About a year ago, two networks - one British and one of Colombian origin - were captured after investigating anti -cocaine trafficking . Both used cars that had a sophisticated system of magnets that powered a hydraulic device that lifted the base of the trunk, where the drug was hidden.
