It is noted that unknown persons opened fire from a car in the Edgewood area in the east of the city. Two people died, five were injured and were taken to hospital in serious condition. An incident is being investigated.

On Saturday, June 13, protests began in Atlanta after the death of 27-year-old African-American Reichard Brooks, who was injured in police custody on June 12 and later died. The deceased resisted law enforcement officers and grabbed a stun gun from one of them, after which one of the police opened fire. 

At least 36 people were detained during the protests in the city.
