A bit as if he was responding to Imam Mahmoud Dicko , leader of the protest movement who asked him to listen to the people, the Malian president began his address to the nation in a very modest posture. “  I have followed carefully the recent events that have taken place in our country. I heard the angers and the cries, I heard the demands and the calls.  "

He then announced that he would soon meet with the parties and associations members of the June 5 movement who demanded his resignation . “  My role is to anticipate patterns of violent confrontation that will not make anyone happy. This is why I invite you to dialogue and I look forward to meeting the actors of the so-called June 5 movement soon. Because nothing can be above Mali  ”.

In addition, renewing his confidence in his Prime Minister Boubou Cisse, whom he has just reappointed, the Malian president, said he was attentive to the disputes that arose after the final publication of the results of the legislative elections by the Constitutional Court.

"  The last legislative elections were the subject of serious contests in certain parts of the country, we must learn all the lessons from these tensions.  "  So my door is open and my hand is still outstretched,  " concluded the President of Mali.
