The French president is due to speak this Sunday, June 14 at 8 p.m. to take stock of the epidemic and set a new course for the last two years of his five-year term. Voices are raised on the fringes of his majority to take into account the aspirations of youth on employment, police violence of a racist nature and the fight against climate change.

Aurélien Taché is a deputy and a former "walker", one of those faithful from the President's earliest days. Frustrated by the political twist that was too right-handed for his taste for government, he has just resigned from La République en Marche to create with others a new group in the National Assembly, "Ecology Democracy Solidarity". This Sunday, a few hours from his address to the French, he asked Emmanuel Macron "  strong measures to protect young people who risk being the first to be sacrificed  " from the economic crisis.

We must not let the youth suffer on a social level, they will be hit hard by the coming crisis, warned Aurélien Taché on France Inter. We must for example extend the RSA to 18, pay for internships from the first day and have strong demands on companies to hire these young people . "

Citizen's Climate Convention

The deputy of Val d'Oise expects the president to "  honor the aspirations of this youth who is mobilizing  " for the defense of the climate and against racism. It is the youth who put the climate fight at the very top of the political agenda, so the first strong response that we could bring is to follow what the climate convention, which will deliver its conclusions in a few days, will say,  "he declined.

One week before the end of the work on the Citizens' Climate Convention , the French president could indeed evoke his intentions on ecology, the priority displayed at the end of the five-year term. The proposals of the convention could be subject to a referendum.

Do not lose youth  "

It is also the youth who are today in the street and for equality and for justice, " continued Aurélien Taché. And we certainly should not turn a deaf ear to these claims, there is today a scourge with discrimination and we must be able to provide strong answers . To "  rediscover the spirit of confidence that animated those who supported Emmanuel Macron in 2017  ", the latter must "  change posture  " and put himself "  in a truly listening logic  ", according to Aurélien Taché.

The head of state is indeed shaken by demonstrations against racism and police violence, after the death of George Floyd in the United States and the recall of that of Adama Traoré in 2016. Thousands of people are still took to the streets this Saturday in France, against a backdrop of anger among the police . We must not lose youth,  " worried Emmanuel Macron on Thursday.

Ethnic stastics and testings

Many in government have put forward their ideas to better fight discrimination. Spokeswoman Sibeth Ndiaye wants to reopen "  the debate around ethnic statistics  " and the Minister of the City, Julien Denormandie announced new "  testings  " in businesses and he advocates the deletion of the word "race"  from the preamble to the Constitution .

This Sunday evening, Emmanuel Macron should above all speak on health emergency issues. Starting with the third stage of deconfinement planned for June 22 and its main challenges: reopening of restaurants in Ile-de-France, relaxation of rules in schools and lifting of the ban on gatherings of more than 10 people. Especially since the Council of State on Saturday restored freedom to demonstrate .
