According to the minister, it is important for Ukraine to establish the causes of the disaster, and without decoding the recorders, "establishing a full-fledged picture will not be completely legitimate."

“The second point is compensation for the families of all the victims and the airline. This is a whole block of questions, ”he said in an interview with Ukrinform, adding that it is also important to hold those responsible for the tragedy accountable.

Kuleba noted that "there are a lot of games" around black boxes.

“The decoding of the“ black boxes ”requires special equipment, which so far is not in Ukraine. A few months ago, Ukraine reached an agreement with France on deciphering flight recorders there ... However, on the way to France we should see them in Ukraine, ”he said.

On January 8, a plane crash occurred in Tehran, which killed 176 people. Iran acknowledged that the Iranian air defense system erroneously shot down a passenger plane of Ukraine International Airlines, mistaking it for a cruise missile.

In February, it became known that Iran had decided to refuse to transmit to the Ukrainian side data on the plane crash due to leakage of information on the accident to the Ukrainian media.

In May, it was reported that Iranian authorities intend to send black boxes of the downed Boeing not to Ukraine, but to another country. It was clarified that this could be France.
