France, Germany, Belgium and Greece are among the countries which are restoring free movement between their territories and the rest of the European Union on Monday 15 June . For Austria, it will be Tuesday.

Spain has meanwhile announced that it will wait until June 21 to reopen its borders with the other countries of the Union, with the exception of its neighbor Portugal… Portugal, on the other hand, is targeting July 1 to lift the traffic restrictions with other European countries.

Italy already lifted traffic restrictions at its border on June 3. More recently, Croatia and Poland have done the same. Some states, especially in central Europe and the Baltic countries, have already restored traffic with their neighbors.

Denmark is currently only open to travelers from Germany, Norway or Iceland. Norway, which is not a member of the European Union but which shares with it the Schengen area of free movement, reopens its borders only to travelers from other Nordic countries except Sweden.

It should be noted that some States maintain exceptions, believing that the country of origin is a risk zone. Hungary, for example, continues to close the door on travelers from France. Finally, entry to certain territories is sometimes accompanied by a fortnight or medical check-up.
