The Interprofessional Council of Bordeaux Wine (CIVB) is organizing an auction from June 15 to 21 in order to raise funds to help caregivers in Bordeaux and Libourne hospitals, who have fought against the coronavirus. The lots offered, ranging from 5 to 4,000 euros, can be bottles of wine, prestigious magnum but also stays in the wine chateaux of the Region.

The Bordeaux Interprofessional Wine Council (CIVB) is organizing an auction of many lots of wine bottles, and other gifts related to wine tourism, to raise funds for the hospitals of Bordeaux and Libourne, which have made in the face of the covid-19 epidemic. The sale will take place on the Drouot sales website, accessible from Bordeaux.com, from Monday. "610 lots are available today on the platform," explains Christophe Château, communications manager of the CIVB.

Prizes from 5 to 4,000 euros 

"The sale is in progress with the auction closing on Sunday June 21, at midnight. We hope on Monday morning to announce a nice amount to give to the hospitals in early July," he continues. The lots are varied, from six bottles of Entre-Deux-Mers and or rosé offered by a winemaker to a magnum of Petrus. Buyers can also afford the visit of a wine chateau or a three-day stay in a chateau, accompanied by a dinner with the owner. "There is something for everyone, for all budgets," says Christophe Chateau.

From 5 to 4,000 euros, the prizes are at all price levels. The aim is to help the nursing staff as a whole, not only the doctors or researchers, but also the maintenance staff. "We have started to exchange quotes with the Bordeaux hospital on cleaning devices, there are rest rooms for carers who are in poor condition and would need to be redone, or improved with equipment. towards these orientations that the budgets will be invested ", specifies Christophe Chateau.
