June 14, 2020 China today announced 57 new confirmed cases of covid-19, the highest daily figure since April, which heightens fears of a second outbreak in the country from which the pandemic has started. The Chinese health ministry said 36 are local infections registered in the capital Beijing, where the emergence of a new outbreak of contamination has led to emergency containment of several residential areas.

On the day marked by the resignation of the Minister of Health of Chile, for a coronavirus pandemic that in that country seems out of control, in the last 24 hours Latin America has reached 1,600,720 infections (+44,551) and 77,960 deaths (+2,299) . This is what the Ansa agency writes.

Brazil is the stable leader in the ranking, with 850,514 infections (+21,704) and 42,720 deaths (+892), has stabilized on the figures of the last few days that have brought it to the second absolute place in the world for infections and deaths, behind the United States .

Peru (220,749 and 6,308) and Chile (167,335 and 3,101) follow, which, with rising data and rumors of fewer victim registrations, has replaced the minister of health. This while six other countries in the region (Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Dominican Republic and Panama) are above 20,000 infections.

There have been 734 deaths from coronaviruses in the United States in the last 24 hours. This is what emerges from data from Johns Hopkins University, according to which the total deaths are 115,347.
