The new Corona virus continues to spread in the world, amid fears that the epidemic will return to China again, in addition to calling for a number of countries that have closed down the actions of their citizens to the need to take preventive measures or else the measures will be tightened again.

A Reuters statistics showed that more than 7 million and 830 thousand people were infected with the emerging coronavirus around the world, and that more than 429 thousand people died as a result of the disease.

The cases have involved more than 210 countries and regions around the world since the virus appeared in China in December 2019.

The United States continues to top the list in the world in terms of the number of injuries and deaths caused by "Covid-19", where the injuries reached two million and 82 thousand and 162 cases, and deaths 115 thousand and 216, followed by Brazil with injuries amounting to more than 850 thousand people, while the deaths reached 42 Alpha and 720.

The number of new cases of coronavirus and the number of hospital inmates as a result of infection, reached records in more states of America, including Florida and Texas, while most states continued their plans to abolish public isolation measures.

The states of Alabama, Florida and South Carolina recorded a record number of new cases for the third consecutive day on Saturday, which was attributed in part by many state health officials to rallies during the "Memorial Day" holiday in late May.

Oklahoma recorded a record increase in the number of new infections for the second day in a row, which also happened in Alaska for the first time in weeks. Arizona and Nevada also recorded a near record number of new cases.

In Louisiana, which was once one of the hotbeds of the virus, the number of new cases has risen again, to over 1,200, the highest since May 21.

On the general level, more than 25,000 new cases were recorded on Saturday, the highest number recorded on a Saturday since May 2, in part due to the large increase in the number of virus detection tests over the past six weeks.

Injuries in China

In China, authorities conducted large-scale examinations to detect cases of Covid-19 today, Sunday, after the epidemic reappeared in the capital, Beijing, which required the issuance of travel warnings across the country amid fears of an outbreak again.

The epidemic was largely contained in China by imposing strict closure measures early in the year before it was lifted.

But the discovery of a new batch of local casualties on a wholesale food market has sparked widespread concern and reinforced the possibility of a return to stringent restrictions.

On Sunday, the National Health Commission announced that 57 new cases had been recorded, 36 of which were infections in Beijing, all of which were related to the "Shenfady" market.

Two local injuries were also recorded for two people in the northeastern Liaoning Province, as the two patients were in close contact with those who were injured in Beijing.

As for the other 19 injuries, they were Chinese citizens who had returned from abroad.

Liaoning was among several provinces that advised its residents to avoid traveling to Beijing due to the outbreak again, in addition to cities such as nearby Tianjin and others in Hebei Province surrounding Beijing.

In some cities, local authorities announced that people coming from Beijing would have to undergo quarantine.

In the capital, Beijing, closure measures were imposed on a very small part of the city, which has 11 residences near the market, which provides most of the fresh produce to the city's residents.

On Sunday, officials announced that 46,000 residents of the area surrounding the market will be subject to a "Covid-19 حص test, while 24 checkpoints have been set up."

All workers in the Shenfady market will also have to undergo examination.

So far, 10,000 and 881 people have been examined in the region, while eight other injuries were uncovered today, Sunday, not included in the outcome of the National Health Committee issued earlier and counting the injuries of the 24 hours prior to their release.

Warn in Saudi Arabia and Iran

In Saudi Arabia, the authorities asked the population on Sunday to adhere to health measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus after the daily toll of infections rose by more than 4 thousand for the first time.

The Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of 4233 new cases of the virus, which raised the total number to 127 thousand and 541, in addition to 972 deaths, which is the largest outcome among the six Arab Gulf countries.

Saudi Arabia, with a population of about 30 million, allowed employees to return to their offices and to reopen shopping centers and resume prayers in mosques, as part of a three-stage plan that began last month. The curfew is due to expire by June 21.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health said, "We have two paths ahead. This rate may rise, infection will rise and spread will increase if community members continue not to adhere to and not be cautious ... We can also commit ourselves and be responsible to return to our lives with caution and adhere to health behaviors and consequently to decline."

And in Iran, Ministry of Health data showed that the number of daily deaths resulting from the outbreak of the new Corona virus exceeded 100 cases today, Sunday, for the first time in two months.

And 107 deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 8837, while the total number of cases in the country reached 187,427.

"Today it was very painful for us to announce a three-digit statistic. And as the distinguished minister said, this virus is unpredictable as well as it is mutating," Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Larry said in an announcement on state television.

The last time Iran reported over 100 deaths in one day was on April 13, when it numbered 111.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that Iran would reimpose the restrictions of Corona, to curb the increase in the number of new cases of HIV infection, if health regulations were not observed.

In Pakistan, the Minister of Planning warned today, Sunday, that the number of new cases of Coronavirus in the country could double by the end of June and exceed one million after only one month.

The warning of Minister Asad Omar comes at a time when many in the country continue to ignore directives regarding social divergence, hygiene and other measures to cope with the disease.

Pakistan has so far registered about 140,000 cases with Covid-19, with the death toll approaching 2,700.
