In our Arab and foreign societies, men have always been considered physically stronger than women.

But several studies, including what was conducted by the "PNAS" Studies Center for Science in America, confirm the ability of women to adapt, strength and endure after research on the biological origins of female characteristics since the ages of slavery, slave and epidemics, where it concluded that the death rate for women is lower, and so was Infant mortality rate compared to males.

Durability

Academics have pointed out that estrogen hormone more present in women has an anti-inflammatory effect, while male testosterone has a role in suppressing the immune system.

And this struggle of survival is accompanied by the ability to bear the aches on which a woman develops through her physical changes, up to the birth that is said to be the second most severe pain after burning alive. Of course, the possibility of pain ranges from one woman to another.

Some men have experienced birth pain through devices that stimulate nerves and muscle contraction, and none of them has tolerated them.

However, the physical structure of a man arises from strength from a young age, while a woman arises from weakness and vulnerability often, and despite the presence of a large number of women reject this idea, many resort to it perhaps by virtue of society, and for fear that the eastern man in most cases does not accept a strong woman .

One of the ranks of the trainer, Samia, from women and children on the island trip.

Trains women and children

Samia Taha, who is Kung Fu, Karate and Taekwondo coach, tells Al-Jazeera Net that she started training at the age of 18 until she became a coach, because she loves sports on the one hand, and because this sport protects, and has an important self-defense.

And she considers it beautiful that a woman can defend herself and the people she loves and be confident of herself, in addition to the fitness, softness and lightness that calm the nervousness of man.

Samia trains women and children, and says that some women train so that the man can be reckoned with and know that they are strong and that no one can be exposed to them.

Although she and her husband, Mohamed, are trained in combat sports, the respect between them is mutual and great, and if a dispute occurs, understanding is the way to resolve it, not combat skills.

Samia does not consider that athletics lose a woman's femininity, but rather is part of the strong femininity that attracts men more. In the problems that occur before her, she tries to calm down and does not believe in beatings except in self-defense.

Her daughters were trained in all defense techniques. Its class includes about 35 boys in the summer and about 15 in the winter.

Women are more durable than men, according to studies (Pixabe).

Confidence in strength

Rachel Radhi revealed to Al Jazeera Net that she had resorted to taekwondo due to the limited sport options in her mountainous region, and the other option was the belly dance that she tried, and she did not like him.

Rachel trained for taekwondo for about 15 years and stopped due to boys and work, but her son is now training at the same club.

Rachel says that this sport gave her great physical strength, and most importantly, she gave her confidence. It considers that the person who is exposed to danger comes to power in a way that he does not know, and what he lacks at the time is the audacity and confidence in his ability.

"I am thinking that if my son was hurt or injured I have the confidence to strike and know that I will be victorious."

And Rachel recommends that young women enter into this type of sport, because it polishes the body, moves all muscles more than any other type of sport, and also gives activity to all parts of the body.

She noted that the girl "cannot live without self-defense, which is a weapon that you use when she needs it."

There are fatwas allowing a woman to beat her back in order to defend herself (Pixels)

Fatwa: Retaliate with beating

In a male society, women are often subjected to violence. And the man bounces repeatedly against the female for the purpose of theft, assault, or even rape, and some men also curse their wives, daughters, and sisters with assault, beating, and physical harm. Some even use religion as an excuse for these actions, relying on the guardianship of men over women.

In this context, the reference scholar Sayyid Hussain Fadlallah had a pioneering position that shook religious circles and male society. And the director of his media office, Hani Abdullah, states that in the mid-1980s, Fadlallah had asked, in one of his sermons, the woman to train and protect herself.

According to Abdullah's memory, the occasion was due to the woman being battered, as he called on the woman to learn martial arts, to defend her body from any attempt of violence against her from where she came or even to weaken her.

Abdullah says that Fadlallah was looking at the society's dealing with women as being based on their vulnerability and not being given their rights. He shows that his eminence issued a fatwa in 2007 in which he permitted the woman to return her husband's assault to her, which raised the Shiite and Sunni religious atmosphere. And the sheikh relied on a verse: "Whoever assaults you, assault him as much as he attacked you."

Thus, her husband's aggression responds to her to defend herself. Considering that if a man engages in physical violence against a woman, and she is unable to defend herself except by exchanging his violence with violence like him, then it is permissible for her in self-defense.

Also, if a man engages in legal violence against her, by depriving her of some of her marital rights, such as alimony or marital relationship, then she may automatically prevent him from the rights that the contract requires.

Abdullah tells that because of this fatwa, a group of men came to the Fadlallah Council, complaining and complaining that he encouraged their women against them, saying to him, “You make a hand for our women on us.” His response was that this is until women take their legal right from the man. And you have to respect it.

In 2013, Sheikh Abdul Hamid Al-Atrash, head of the Fatwa Committee in Al-Azhar, recognized the legality of beating a wife in self-defense. Considering that every person has this right and there is no difference between a man and a woman because all people are before God alike.
