Two walkers, 45 and 63 years old, narrowly escaped drowning on Saturday. While they were walking along the edge of a small tributary of the Hérault river in raw after the floods of the previous day, they fell into the river. The facts took place in Saint-André-de-Majencoules, a small town in the Cévennes.

Both victims had injuries to the lower limbs. They were rescued by residents who had witnessed the scene. They were put in safety before the intervention of the firefighters of the intervention group in perilous environment. If their health is no longer in danger, they have probably avoided the worst thanks to the intervention of witnesses.
