Abu Dhabi Police warned against leaving five flammable materials inside the vehicle. She came under personal use, as it included a perfume compact package, hand sanitizer sprays, a gas canister, a portable charger, a phone battery and a cigarette lighter.
She called to ensure that vehicles are free of these materials, because their presence in them, especially during the daytime period, may lead to a disaster.
In particular, she warned of the dangers of leaving the cigarette lighter inside the car, indicating that it may explode with increasing temperatures due to the presence of iron parts in its components, which causes friction and causes a fire. It stated that it is possible that the excess heat can destroy the internal cells of the phone's battery, causing an internal short circuit that leads to fires.
