For his part, the director of the Ifta’s Department in Dubai, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, said: “Praying for a dead Muslim is to be sufficient for the living, such as washing, shrouding and burying them. The obligatory prayer is waived by one man's prayer, so whoever performs it has performed the imposition of sufficiency and the embarrassment has fallen for the rest. And whoever misses the prayer upon him for fear of the epidemic, and he wants not to prohibit the reward by praying upon him, then the reward is great, as is true in the hadith about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: (Whoever attends the funeral until he prays, he has a carat, and whoever testifies until burial has two carats) was said : And what carats? He said: (Like the two great mountains).

He made it clear that whoever is keen on the reward and the benefit of the dead through intercession for him, then he may pray on him absent while he is in his home, even if he is far from the country of the dead, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed on the Negus - may God be pleased with him - on the day of his death while he was in Medina and the Negus in Habasha .

He pointed out that the one who attended the graveyard, and the deceased was buried, prayed upon him while he was in his grave, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did regarding the woman who died and was buried by the companions, may God be pleased with them at night; He, peace and blessings be upon him, when he learned of her death in the morning, said, “Show me her grave.” So her grave came and he prayed over her.

He made it clear that this prayer is a prayer for the dead present; Because he stood on his grave, and the permissibility of praying for the dead for those who had not prayed upon him present or absent, from the time he was fully washed and shrouded until the beginning of his decomposition, continues.
