Last week, SVT News Småland was able to tell about Jan-Erik Gylling, who is severely brain-ill and in a short time needed extensive help. But in February, the municipality of Hultsfred decided that his basic needs were not big enough - they felt that just over four hours of help a week was enough.

Now the municipality has tried its case again and concluded that the need is much greater - up to 76 hours a week. Sambon Kim Barman received the message on the phone.

- It was an incredible relief, but I was also sad. It was like a mental collapse, she says.

The basis for the new decision is the certificate from a doctor and a physiotherapist who was sent in April and May.

"Will be good"

Both Kim Arman and Jan-Erik Gylling feel that they should have been helped several months ago. The whole spring has been a struggle for assistance, but also for coping with everyday life and the economy, because Kim has had to take care of almost all care and had to work.

- This will be good. I just have to recover, she tells SVT.

Jan-Erik Gylling says the message was a great relief.

- Finally, we get a fix. But there is still a bitterness that you have to fight for it is a matter of course. I think of everyone who does not have such an amazing person as Kim by his side, who can fight, he says.

The municipality's refusal in February has been tried by the administrative court and they felt that the decision was right at that time. The municipality did not decide on the new certificates until a new application was submitted, says Ann-Gret Sillén, social manager in Hultsfred municipality.

During the difficult times, they have received strong support from IFK Gothenburg's supporters, see the feature below.
