The first post-coronavirus trophy in Italy will be disputed between Juventus and Naples on Wednesday, Gennaro Gattuso's team having joined the Bianconeri in the Italian Cup final thanks to their 1-1 draw against Saturday 'Inter Milan (1-0 one way).

At home, Naples was off to a bad start, however, since in the third minute, Inter had erased their defeat in the first leg at San Siro thanks to a direct corner from Eriksen.

The Dane, who arrived in Milan in the winter transfer window, was therefore the first post-Covid scorer in Italy, 96 days after Sassuolo-Brescia, the last match played before the interruption imposed by the advance of the virus.

After the 0-0 draw on Friday between Juventus and AC Milan, who qualified the Turinese, it was therefore at San Paolo that we saw the first awkward celebrations with the elbows.

In the silence and in camera of the huge Neapolitan enclosure, we also heard a lot of the big voices of Gattuso and Antonio Conte, two very directive coaches on the sidelines.

We especially noted the role played by the Neapolitan goalkeeper Ospina, author of several decisive stops, notably before Candreva and Eriksen (twice), and determining on the equalization of his team.

- History Mertens -

The Colombian indeed managed an impressive recovery at the foot of 60 meters to launch his captain Insigne, who served Mertens for the goal of 1-1 and qualification (1-1).

With 122 goals, the Belgian becomes the only top scorer in the history of Napoli, ahead of Hamsik, whom he joined in February during the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Barcelona (1-1).

Still racing in C1, qualified for the Cup final on Wednesday in Rome, Naples finally managed to recover from a failed start to the season under the orders of Carlo Ancelotti and much of the credit goes to Gattuso.

"We're with him, he deserves it," said captain of Naples Insigne after the game.

"It was strange to play like that. But we have to do our duty and we dedicate this victory to all those who suffered. And we hope to have brought some joy to Italian homes," added the Italian striker.

Inter, meanwhile, won by Juventus and Lazio Rome in the league, sees with the Cup disappear one of its major objectives.
