A man from the US state of Missouri is trying to sue Apple for a fictional sum of up to a trillion dollars, accusing the company of stealing his iPhone after he brought it in for repair because it had "new features", according to Business Insider.

Rayfone Parker claims that when he brought his iPhone to an Apple store in Missouri for repair in 2018, employees kept his phone and instead supplied him with an alternate iPhone.

Parker claims that employees kept the phone that had new features, including the ability to bypass some startup screen options.

Parker claimed that this feature helped Apple develop iOS 12, the operating system Apple launched for iPhone in 2018.

It is unclear exactly what Parker means by claiming that his iPhone was "the first to have new features", but Parker may have installed an iOS version that was not yet intended for the public, and an Apple store employee removed it when it was discovered during repair.

The judge rejected the case, cutting Park the opportunity to get a trillion dollars from Apple.
