Halland saves Dortmund from a draw with Dusseldorf with a deadly goal

Borussia Dortmund won a hard-won victory over its Fortuna Dusseldorf 1-0 today, Saturday, in the 31st round of the German Football League (Bundesliga).

In other matches today, Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Hertha Berlin 4-1, Werder Bremen at Paderborn 5-1, Union Berlin over Cologne 2-1, and Wolfsburg tied 2-2 with Freiburg.

The Dortmund and Fortuna Dusseldorf match almost ended in a goalless draw, but Norwegian star Erling Halland kidnapped the winning goal for Dortmund in the fifth and final minute of stoppage time.

Dortmund raised its score to 66 points in second place, four points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who meet today with Borussia Moenchengladbach, while Fortuna Dusseldorf balance stuck at 28 points in 16th place.
