Death of George Floyd: Street artists mobilize - 20 Minutes

The shock wave that swept the world after the death of George Floyd, asphyxiated by a Minneapolis police officer on May 25, 2020, also affected street artists around the world. While paying tribute to the African-American, they denounce police violence, racism, and call to vote during the American presidential election in November 2020.

In the United States, in Minneapolis, Houston, the city of origin of George Floyd, or even in Los Angeles, a number of murals have appeared in the streets. In Europe, tributes in the cities of Paris, Berlin, Naples and Barcelona decorate the walls and support the "Black Lives Matter" movement. On June 9, 2020, the artist JR created a fresco in the French capital in memory of Adama Traoré and George Floyd.

20 Minutes returns in pictures to the most beautiful tributes as well as political messages.
