Five hot destinations - so they set themselves up for Swedish tourists

Travel expert Lottie Knutson believes it will be a summer in Sweden for many holidaymakers - but those who want to go abroad will be able to leave the country. Here she straightens out question marks around some of the hottest destinations:

Greece

The country allows Swedish tourists, but with very specific requirements, which can make the trip a bit complicated:

- Only Swedes who do not fly from Stockholm can enter here without quarantine. There are only a few single flights from Stockholm, so that is why it is excluded, says Lottie Knutson.

Spain

Spain will receive Swedes from July - without quarantine requirements.

- There are probably many happy people. On the one hand, it is a large tourist country, but then it is the super-many Swedes who have their own accommodation in Spain, says Lottie Knutson and continues:

- It's a little different between the regions, but most of them open up. You are at full speed. You open golf clubs, bars and restaurants.

Turkey

Turkey's trip, on the other hand, has to wait. The country opens to tourism - but not Europeans.

- No Europeans are currently welcome. Instead, they have opened up to China and Asia. 

Croatia

One of the Swedes' new holiday favorites accepts Swedish tourists - with a small requirement.

- The Croats have said that the Swedes are welcome. All you need is a type of proof that you register via a site that you have booked accommodation, such as a hotel or house.

How do you do it?

- I haven't tested it, but it sounds pretty smooth.

Here it is highly doubtful whether it will be possible to travel at all.

- We are not welcome to Denmark. At the same time, many Danes travel across the border to Sweden, and it is great if they come here and spend their holiday money.

In the past week, Finland has already made a clear mark on Swedish tourists. Norway, which will announce later on Friday, is also expected to take a hard stance.

Holidays in Sweden

Lottie Knutson says that she herself is leaning towards staying home this summer, encouraging others to do the same.

- I think we should focus on staying at home. It is the nicest and it is a great opportunity to discover our country. Book now, because it needs nutrition.
