“On behalf of the Moldovan people and on my own behalf, I send to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin my most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Russia Day,” he wrote.

As Dodon noted, this holiday gives him the opportunity to highlight the successes achieved by the Russian Federation both in pursuing an effective domestic policy and in the international arena.

“Moldovan-Russian relations have a rich history and also, in my opinion, good prospects for their further development in the name and for the benefit of our countries and peoples,” added the head of Moldova.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated Vladimir Putin on Russia Day.
