  • The decline in hospitalizations due to Covid-19 continues in France. As of Thursday, 11,465 people were hospitalized, up from 13,101 a week ago, and 143 new admissions were registered in 24 hours. The total number of deaths now stands at 29,346, including 27 in the past 24 hours.
  • More than 7.7 million people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 worldwide, including 2 million in the United States alone where 113,000 deaths have been recorded. In Africa, the contamination threshold has doubled in 18 days and the 40,000 death mark has just been exceeded in Brazil.
  • Emmanuel Macron meets this Friday morning the scientific council, then a defense council to take stock of the health crisis. At the end of these meetings, measures to make deconfinement more flexible, particularly at school, could be announced before Sunday and its television address.
