As part of the health monitoring related to the spread of Coronavirus in Italy, the Civil Protection has announced that the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 236,305, with an increase compared to yesterday of 163 new cases.

The Campania Region reports a recalculation of the total cases by subtracting 230 units. Reporting a positive case recorded in the past 24 hours leads to a total of -229 cases today.

The total number of currently positive is under 30 thousand, to be precise 28,997, with a decrease of 1,640 clients compared to yesterday.

Among the currently positive, 227 are undergoing intensive care, with a decrease of 9 patients compared to yesterday.

3,893 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 238 patients compared to yesterday.

24,877 (-1,393) people, equal to 86% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.

Compared to yesterday, 56 died and bring the total to 34,223. The total number of those discharged and healed rises to 173,085, an increase of 1,747 people compared to yesterday.

70,620 swabs have been performed in the last 24 hours, for a general total of 4,514,441 swabs since the start of the pandemic.

This is the weekly rate of new tampons per 1000 inhabitants, according to the monitoring, in the various Regions: Campania 2.38; Calabria 2.88; Sicily 3.03; Lazio 3.31; Puglia 3.52; Sardinia 3.69; Basilicata 4.91; Abruzzo 5.19; Tuscany 5.34; Piedmont 5.43; Valle d'Aosta 5.67; Liguria 6.34; Umbria 6.41; Brands 6.91; Lombardy 6.98; Molise 7.23; Emilia Romagna 7.59; Friuli Venezia Giulia 10.18; Trentino Alto Adige 10.96; Veneto 16.64.

In detail, the currently positive cases are 17,024 in Lombardy, 2,897 in Piedmont, 1,817 in Emilia-Romagna, 849 in Veneto, 510 in Tuscany, 249 in Liguria, 2,222 in Lazio, 750 in the Marche, 346 in Campania, 439 in Puglia, 68 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 841 in Sicily, 108 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 528 in Abruzzo, 101 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 24 in Umbria, 42 in Sardinia, 9 in Valle d'Aosta, 47 in Calabria, 114 in Molise and 12 in Basilicata.

In Lombardy
The new positive cases in Lombardy are 272 (1.8% ratio with daily swabs) and the deaths since yesterday have been 31, for a total of 16,405. The swabs made were 14,837 for a total of 873,831. The number of patients currently positive are 17,024 (-316) and the overall total of positives found in Lombardy since the start of the pandemic to date is 91,204. The healed / discharged in the last 24 hours are +557 for a total of 57,775, the ICU patients are 97, number unchanged since yesterday. 2,357 non-ICU patients (-131).

"Among the positive cases of today - adds the councilor for Welfare, Giulio Gallera - 42 refer to swabs performed after the serological tests and 21 found in some RSA. The Lombardy Region has so far carried out 264,024 blood samples to 161,695 citizens and 102,329 operators The results of these serological tests have shown a state of positivity for 41,250 (25.6%) citizens and 13,402 (12.6%) operators. As for the cities most affected, the cases in Milan are 23,669 (+88) of which 10,074 (+ 56) in Milan city, while in Bergamo they are 13,744 (+34) and in Brescia there are 15,217 (+30).
