An apartment fire broke out around 11 p.m. Wednesday evening in a building in Bischheim, near Strasbourg. In this accommodation located on the fourth of the eight floors, three children aged 3.5 and 8 were saved using a large ladder. Their mother was also sheltered.

All were transported to the Hautepierre University Hospital, seriously injured. They suffer from smoke poisoning. The flames were quickly brought under control by the firefighters. Two families affected by the fire were relocated by their relatives.
