The second supplementary budget for the new coronavirus countermeasures will be voted after a question and answer session at the House of Councilors Budget Committee on the 12th, and will be passed and approved at the House of Councilors plenary session in the afternoon.

The second supplementary budget for the current fiscal year includes measures to reduce the burden of rents on businesses and expansion of employment adjustment subsidies in order to respond to the spread of new coronavirus infections. It was the largest ever as a supplementary budget of 31 trillion 911.4 billion yen.

Following a debate on the House of Councilors Budget Committee on the 11th regarding the consignment of sustainable benefit projects and the impact of the spread of infection on the economy, Prime Minister Abe and all ministers attended on the 12th. After the question and answer session, the second supplementary budget proposal will be voted on.

In the afternoon, a vote will also be held at the plenary session of the House of Councilors, and it will be passed.

In addition, on the 15th of next week, regarding the settlement of accounts of the fiscal year 2018, a question and vote will be held at the House of Councilors settlement committee, inviting Prime Minister Abe and all ministers to attend.

On the other hand, before the end of the session on the 17th of next week, the revision of the referendum law will not be held in the current Diet, because the House of Representatives Constitution Examination Committee will not be held on the 11th.
