Four years after the death of the young Adama Traoré following a police arrest, the legal battle still rages between the family of the victim and the accused gendarmes. On May 30, a new expert opinion dismissed the responsibility of the gendarmes, before a private medical opinion, ordered by the family and revealed on June 2, directly attributes the death of the young black man to the technique of arrest used by the forces. of the order. On Europe 1, Me Sandra Chirac-Kollarik, the lawyer of one of the gendarmes affirms it: "There was no ventral plating". She denounces the blind will of the Traore family to make triumph "a pre-established truth".

"I think it confuses the common term of tackling in rugby in particular, the fact of tackling a person standing, with the police method", answers Me Yassine Bouzrou, lawyer for the family of Adama Traoré, also on Europe 1. "The ventral tackling technique consists of keeping a person in the prone position, that is to say on his stomach, on the ground, head turned to the side."

The lawyer also reverts to the gendarmes' statements throughout the legal procedure.
