The Palm investigation has been closed and the now deceased Stig Engström, is being identified as a perpetrator by the prosecutor. The decision is based on old data and no murder weapon has been found.

The decision is logical, according to lawyer Johanna Björkman. Stig Engström had to be heard in order to proceed with the investigation.

- It is a special case, it is the Palm murder and it is a case that from a general point of view, I do not know if there is any case that is so engaging, says Johanna Björkman.

High public interest

No question about slander Johanna Björkman doesn't think it will.

- It would be difficult to pursue a prosecution case because it is such a high public interest. It is justifiable to go out with this information. The Prosecutor describes that he has reasonable grounds to assume that this is a person who is of interest to the investigation.

Other conditions today

Today the conditions had been different, Johanna Björkman and Stig Engström had been arrested and had been reasonably suspected in the case.

- Today, these coercive measures had been taken against this person that could have led to more material or not brought charges against the person. It is a major criticism as prosecutors in front of 86 and 87 when releasing the person or simply targeting another track.
