The agreement means that the government undertakes to pay for all testing of people with symptoms of active infection. The medical assessment required to obtain such a test need not involve a doctor's visit, but may, for example, consist of a digital contact or other solution to facilitate and speed up the management of health care so that unnecessary bottlenecks are not created.

Testing for active infection is free of charge for the individual, and the regions can test broadly and receive compensation from the state for this. The government will also replace the regions for antibody testing of persons suspected of having covid-19.

Such testing shall be free of charge for healthcare professionals, staff in care and users in special housing and home care. Others in the population are offered antibody testing for a fee.
