In Côte d'Ivoire, the Electoral Commission launched on Wednesday June 10 the annual revision of the electoral lists, particularly important this year when a crucial presidential election is to be held. The process should take 15 days. It aims to enlist voters who have not yet registered as new adults or those who had not considered it useful to vote until now. In Côte d'Ivoire, nearly 5 million people of voting age do not appear on this list according to the CEI. A list which had last year 6 million 600,000 registered.

But the receipt, or an identity certificate or a nationality certificate are enough. After filling out a form, they will pass in front of the “morpho” agent of the Election Commission, equipped with his digital tablet. “  This tablet is used to register new applicants or to check if you are not already in the base; if you are not there, I will register you, take your emprientes, the photo and everything.  "

This Wednesday, on the first day of a process that will last two weeks, crowds did not rush to the 11,000 enrollment centers.

Open centers to welcome those who want to register for the first time, or change their voting location or verify that they are on the famous list. Voters' cards will be available in September, says the IEC.
