The Human Resources Department announced, according to the directives of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, the return of employees of the Government of Sharjah to the workplaces of all government agencies, bodies, institutions and departments as of Sunday, 14 June 2020, with a minimum of (30%) of the employees, provided that this percentage increases Gradually based on developments and reports sent from government agencies to the Human Resources Department on a weekly basis.


The rate of return of employees may be established, reduced or increased according to the circumstances, the extent of commitment to health precautions and social separation among employees based on the evidence of return to work for the departments and bodies of the Sharjah government.


This came in a circular issued by the department to government agencies within the framework of enhancing and sustaining government work and the return of employees to workplaces, in parallel with the implementation of the remote work system for the groups that were excluded from the circular, with the need to adhere to preventive and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus epidemic (Covid-19 ).


The circular outlines the categories that are excluded from returning to the workplace, in order for the remote work system to apply, provided that the nature of their work does not require their presence at the workplace, and it includes: pregnant employees, employees with disabilities, those with chronic diseases and immune deficiencies, according to approved medical reports . In addition to employees of the age group (60) years and above, and female employees who have children enrolled in education from the ninth grade or less, until the end of the current school year.


The circular dealt with the reduction of auxiliary workers, "the category of workers and employees," according to the need for work, while still giving them special leave with pay.


The Human Resources Department emphasized during the circular the need to take health precautions related to the social spacing between employees, the readiness of offices to receive auditors according to preventive measures, and to determine the number of auditors according to these measures and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and auditors.


The department has previously circulated to all Sharjah government bodies detailed regulations that include special arrangements for preparing workplaces and offices to receive employees according to the precautionary measures towards providing a safe and healthy environment in workplaces that allow the gradual return of employees to workplaces and to start their work with confidence.


Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the Human Resources Department, Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, confirmed that the decision came in implementation of the wise directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, within the comprehensive plan for the gradual return to normal life in the Emirate of Sharjah, while ensuring the integrated application of all Recommended preventive and preventive measures and measures to prevent the spread of this global epidemic.


He stressed the commitment of the government agencies in Sharjah to implement adequate measures that ensure the safety of employees and protect them from infection, and achieve business continuity easily and smoothly.
