Russian schoolchildren this year will be issued certificates without passing exams, according to a resolution of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, dated June 11.

Thus, graduates of 9th and 11th grades will receive certificates without passing exams. The report explains that graduates who want to continue their education in secondary professional educational organizations will be enrolled in them according to the results of the certificate. Those who decide to graduate will be able to pass the exam.

“The usual procedure for state final certification and entrance tests had to be changed due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection. Adjustment will allow to protect schoolchildren and teachers, ”the statement says on the website of the Cabinet.

The Ministry of Education of Russia and Rosobrnadzor will need to bring their regulations into line with the resolution before June 15.

The head of the Ministry of Education Sergey Kravtsov announced the deadlines for issuing certificates. According to him, the majority of Russian schoolchildren will receive certificates of secondary education until June 11, the rest - until the 15th. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“Today all orders are ready, today all certificates will be issued. Those who do not have time to receive them today will receive them on Monday, June 15, ”the minister explained.

Recall that the certificates will be issued to school graduates in 2020 without exams. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 21 at a meeting on the situation in the field of education. Then the president emphasized that such a decision is an exception, which is temporary.

As emphasized in the Cabinet, in 2020, an adjustment due to a pandemic of the certification procedure for graduates will help to protect teachers and schoolchildren.

The decision on whether to do rapid tests for coronavirus for school graduates who pass a unified state exam will be made by regional authorities.

The Minister said that now in the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor there is no mandatory requirement for gloves and masks for participants in the exam, but more accurate information will be announced closer to the dates of the exam.

Due to the epidemiological situation of coronavirus, the exam itself was postponed to a later date. The exam schedule was previously published by Rosobrnadzor. The department noted that it is impossible to pass the USE remotely, since in this case it is impossible to conduct an objective assessment in the same conditions for all.

On June 8, Mishustin said that more than 736 thousand graduates of Russian schools who intend to enter universities are planning to take the exam in 2020.

According to him, on June 29-30, trial exams will be held without the participation of students to verify the technical debugging of the system. The main examination period will be held from July 3 to 23, and the dates July 24-25 are reserved for those who have two exams on the same day.

In addition, students who, for good reason, will not be able to pass the exam in July, will pass exams in August.

At the end of May, the acting head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzayev, said that the chance of entering the budget departments of universities with 2020 graduates increased due to an increase in the number of budget places. In addition, the passing score will decrease.

Regarding the new school year, the Minister of Education announced that the ministry is preparing for the fact that Russian and college students will start classes on September 1.

“As for September 1. We are preparing <...> for the fact that on September 1, students will come to their schools. On September 1, we plan to open schools, kindergartens, and secondary vocational education institutions. There will be, of course, certain requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. We will carry out educational work with parents, students, ”Kravtsova was quoted as saying in the agency.

Recall that from March 14, Russian educational institutions began to switch to a distance learning mode in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection in the country.

According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor issued in May, after the school is opened, it is necessary to thoroughly disinfect. The department recommended to create a separate schedule for each class, as well as assign a separate cabinet to each class.
