“At 11:40, prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor, on behalf of the Prosecutor General, reported the suspicion to the fifth president of Ukraine,” the statement said.

According to STRANA.ua, citing Poroshenko's lawyer Ilya Novikov, the former president of Ukraine is suspected in the "case of appointing the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Semochko."

“When we went to the GBR, the prosecutor of the office of the Prosecutor General approached us and wanted to hand him a suspicion in the case of the appointment of the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Semochko,” the lawyer said.

According to him, Poroshenko refused to receive suspicion and left the building of the GDB.

In late May, Poroshenko did not come for questioning to the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.
