On the night of Sunday to Monday, the former senator-mayor (PCF) of Oissel (Seine-Maritime), Thierry Foucaud, was attacked and tied up at his home by three hooded individuals, reports Paris Normandie . His wife and daughter suffered the same fate. An investigation was opened for theft of assembly violence, forcible confinement and breach of domicile.
When the attackers broke in, he watched television while his family slept. Around 1:00 am, "they entered the house and asked me where the safe was, but I don't have one," he told local media. The perpetrators then tied the whole family in the living room. The politician "was also hit," said a judicial source.
The three wanted individuals
After searching the house, the hooded men managed to get their hands on the sum of 8,000 euros. "I got married not long ago, it was money that was received on this occasion," said the former senator-mayor. As soon as the attackers fled, Thierry Foucaud alerted the mayor of the town, as well as the police.
The public prosecutor of Rouen entrusted the investigations to the Regional Judicial Police Service (SRPJ). The investigators are currently looking for the trio of thugs.
