It was the night between April 25 and April 26 that the man, who has a home address in Jönköping Municipality, went into a yard outside Habo and stole a wheel loader there. He drove at high speed from the farm and was close to driving on the farm owner. The man then continued his journey on the wheel loader towards central Habo. Outside Ica, he overturned a car and then drove the vehicle into a residential building and garage.

After the vehicle got stuck in the garage, the man ran from the scene and entered a residential building where he threatened the resident with a knife and demanded to get the keys to a car.

The police were able to follow the man and stopped him after a shorter car chase. Guard officers Torbjörn Lindqvist tells Jönköpings-Posten that during the night he had ordered the police patrols to shoot the man to stop him. Something that was not needed though.

The man has acknowledged the deeds but believes he was drug-affected at the time.
