He said that one of the good news about the virus, too, is that its slow change, compared to other viruses, makes vaccines more effective, and their effects last for a long time.
He stated that the studies conducted by the center on the virus in the country, its results are shared globally, within a huge database, that helps scientists and enables them to produce the appropriate vaccine based on it, which necessarily applies to the residents of the Emirates.
Abution said that the research conducted by the center, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority and the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, have found that there are three main sources of Corona virus in the country, where the main source of the virus was in Europe, and the second is Iran, while the third source was China And, this information was reached by matching the characteristics of the virus in the country and matching it with those in these countries, indicating that when the infected people were checked, there was a travel history for one of these countries.
He pointed out that the genetic fingerprint of 25 genomes was determined for the first 49 cases of the study sample, which includes 240 male and female people, in different age groups.
He stressed that the high number of deaths caused by the Corona virus in any country does not mean that the same thing will happen in the Emirates, because cases of severe illness or death in these countries have been linked to several reasons, including the high age of the population, the spread of chronic diseases and unhealthy habits, such as smoking , While most of these reasons are not available in the country, as it is characterized by an average age that protects it from these effects, and this makes the country's population infected with the virus not affected by its complications.
He pointed out that, even today, there is not a single study in the world that proves that a specific type of "corona" may cause more severe symptoms than others, where the patient's genetic factor plays the main role in the occurrence of these effects.
