The united Malian opposition coalition, Imam Mahmoud Dicko, is now evolving within a movement called " Le Mouvement du 5 juin-Rassemblement des forces patriotiques du Mali ". The objective is to re-mobilize the members of the coalition, to welcome new members to talk about the future.
During the press conference, the Malian filmmaker Cheick Oumar Sissoko, founding member of the new entity, spoke: “ We are continuing the fight until our final goal : the resignation of Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta. The second crucial piece of information is that the Troika has been joined by hundreds of organizations and political parties. "
Pro-government rally this Friday
But on the side of the Malian power, supports are also organized. A platform called "We the people" was born. Political parties, associations, members of this platform, intend to defend the institutions of the Republic and plan a large rally this Friday in Bamako.
" We want to go out for peace, for the safeguard of our institutions. To the point of asking for the resignation of the head of state, we say that is no, "explains Hamane Touré, one of the platform's coordinators.
Between supporters and opponents of power, representatives of the international community on site here invite everyone to dialogue.
