Czech Senate visits Taiwan to China rebound 6:59 on June 10

The Czech Republic is showing signs of strengthening its relationship with Taiwan. The Czech Senate has announced that he will visit Taiwan this August, as the relationship between the two countries is chilling over China's promised investment plan to the Czech Republic.

Czech Senator Wisturčil announced at a press conference on the 9th and announced that he would visit Taiwan with business officials from late August.

The Czech Republic, which has diplomatic relations with China, is in a position to support the principle of "one China," and there has never been a case where the Senate chairman, who is second only to the President in his constitution, visited Taiwan.

Visiting Taiwan had been under consideration for a long time, and local media reported that the local Chinese embassy had sent a letter to Cheong Wa Dae this January, urging him to cancel the visit.

In a press conference, the Senate chairman of the right-wing opposition party criticized China's stance, saying, “We will promote exchanges in terms of economic and cultural aspects. I would like to emphasize the importance of such value" and put forward a stance to strengthen the relationship with Taiwan.

With regard to the Czech Republic and China, the relationship between the two countries is chilling because the Czech people are not satisfied that the investment plan promised by China has not been realized.

Last year, the capital city of Prague dissolved a sister city agreement with Beijing, and this time the Senate announced that he would visit Taiwan.
