The movement's initiative, which is run by the Swedish Sports Federation, aims to gather energy for more physical activity during the school day for students from preschool to sixth grade. Especially for the least active students.

Marcus Edin coordinates the initiative in the Örebro district and has a close dialogue with schools and students about how the initiative can best be designed at the current school. And it was precisely the students who came up with the idea of making canines.

Re-thinking required

Marcus Edin believes that new ways to move are needed to attract those who are not attracted by the more traditional activities found in all schools. When the idea of cane horses came, he decided to start manufacturing himself, not just horses, but a variety of animals on canes.

- We help manufacture them as the time is not always in the schools to do it themselves, he says.
