China News Service, June 9 (Xindao Daily) reported that the Canada-US border has been closed for nearly three months. For many families, separating the two ends of the border is very frustrating. Recently, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau announced that citizens and immediate family members of permanent residents are allowed to enter Canada. He emphasized that any immigrant must strictly observe the 14-day quarantine requirement.

The Canadian Border Services Agency stated that this relaxation will take effect at midnight on June 8, local time. It is not limited to the United States, and family members from other countries can also enter Canada.

Trudeau said: "A lot of people are forced to be separated from their spouses, children, and parents. This is a very difficult period. We heard their demands." Therefore, the government decided to relax the restrictions a little, but the isolation policy remains unchanged. He said: "Anyone who enters Canada must be quarantined for 14 days, and if they do not comply with these regulations, they may face severe penalties."

According to the Quarantine and Quarantine Law, those who do not comply with the regulations will face a fine of up to $750,000 CAD or six months in prison. If someone violates the bill while endangering the lives of others, the fine will increase to 1 million Canadian dollars and 3 years in prison.

On March 21 local time, Canada and the United States began to ban all non-essential travel of citizens. Thereafter, the travel restriction agreement will be discussed monthly to determine when it will end.
