The head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow Vladimir Vasenin said that as a result of the examination it was established that the actor Mikhail Efremov was intoxicated at the time of the accident on Smolenskaya Square.
"Examination confirms the state of intoxication," RIA Novosti quoted Vasenin as saying.
Earlier, police detained Efremov after an accident in the center of Moscow. He was sent for a medical examination for the presence of alcohol in the blood.
As a result of an accident, one person was injured.
