The decision to say no to long-distance visitors was made when the travel restrictions on a two-hour drive were introduced in Sweden. Fredrik Fredriksson then reasoned that he did not want to burden healthcare with travelers from other counties.

From Saturday, however, the new travel rules will start to apply in Sweden, and then Fredrik Fredriksson's campsite will also welcome everyone. He still believes that it is a problem that health care in Öland can be overloaded, but that it is now impossible to discourage people once they get to the place.

"I don't want to destroy that customer contact," he says.

While the campsite said no to long-distance guests, there have been some difficult meetings at the camping border. Hear Fredrik Fredriksson tell us more about it in the video player.
