The Nantes art museum, open at the end of June 2017. - F.Brenon / 20Minutes

In theory, they had the possibility of opening on May 11. But in Nantes as elsewhere, the museums took their time to organize the return of the public in complete safety. In the city of the dukes, if the Maillé-Brézé and the printing museum were the first to raise their curtain, the main ones will be accessible again from next Tuesday, the city announced in a press release on Monday.

In detail, the castle of the Dukes of Brittany will reopen its ramparts, its museum and its permanent exhibition next Tuesday. For the highly anticipated LU exhibition, it will be necessary to wait until June 27. The next day, the Chronograph returns to Rezé, devoted to archeology. From mid-July and for the summer, visitors will discover the "Neanderthal" exhibition, linked to the Museum (which will only reopen on August 8, due to the works). As for the arts museum, it is the date of June 22 that we will have to circle in our agenda. The Jules-Verne museum will wait until July 1 to reopen its doors. For the Planetarium, no date has yet been set.

Wearing a mask and limited visits

If the hours will remain the same, the visits will obviously be very different than those we knew before the epidemic. Inside, wearing a mask will be compulsory and the number of visitors will be limited. Impossible to wander as desired, an arrowed route will be set up. The town hall already warns that guided tours of the Arts museum and the Jules-Verne museum are canceled. In the establishments which will organize them, the groups will not exceed ten people.
