The 21st National Assembly eventually passed the statutory deadline.

In addition, Democratic Party leader Kim Tae-nyeon and future unification leader Joo Ho-young had final negotiations with Park Byeong-suk, chairman of the National Assembly, on the 8th, but failed to address the issue of allocating the permanent chairman.

The National Assembly Act requires that a permanent chairman be elected within three days after the first meeting date, that is, by this day.

This is due to the fact that the opposition parties did not narrow the disagreement over some key issues, including which party will take the chairman of the judicial justice, and the composition of the first half of the 21st National Assembly is expected to drift for the time being.

However, the ruling opposition leader Min-su Han, public official of the National Assembly, said through a briefing that he formed a special committee to revise the number of standing committee members and agreed to hold the standing committee members by the 10th.

The special committee consists of a total of 11 people, including 6 Democrats, 4 United Party and 1 non-subsidy group.

The special committee discusses how many members will be assigned to each standing committee, and the proposed rule revision will be processed at the plenary session on the 10th.

An official of the National Assembly said, "If the agreement of the standing committee is agreed by the 10th, the bargaining group will submit a standing committee selection committee, and based on this, the standing chairman will be elected."

The ruling and opposition parties discussed ways to complete the election of the standing chairman by the 12th, but it is said that the agreement has not been reached.
